LOGGING IN TO THE WEBSITE:

Answers:

LOGGING IN TO THE WEBSITE:

1.      Having Trouble Logging Onto The Website?

a.       Did you know 9 out 10 people having trouble logging onto the PWP website is usually because they are not entering their email address or password correctly?

b.      Double and Triple check that you are typing out everything absolutely correctly before hitting submit. We can almost bet that you will be able to log in with this little bit of needed attentiveness.

c.       Very often web browsers have an autofill feature that may auto enter the wrong information because of a former mistype. SO, be sure to hand type out everything exactly correct in both the email and password field before you submit.

2.      I forgot my Password

a.       Follow the link named “Forgot Password”

b.      Enter your email address, click go, and then check your email inbox for an email from PWP.

c.       In this email you will be given a new password.

d.      While keeping this email open, follow the link within the body of this email to the log in screen on PWP.

e.       Enter your email address EXACTLY correctly. Double check that your email address is correctly spelled exactly right.

f.        Copy the new password from the email from PWP, and paste it into the Password field.

g.       Click Go

3.      I have not Registered with the PWP website

a.       Follow the link named “Register Now”

b.      Enter your email address, click go, and then check your email inbox for an email from PWP.

c.       In this email you will be given a new password.

d.      While keeping this email open, follow the link within the body of this email to the log in screen on PWP.

e.       Enter your email address EXACTLY correctly. Double check that your email address is correctly spelled exactly right.

f.        Copy the new password from the email from PWP, and paste it into the Password field.

g.       Click Go

MEMBER PROFILE/PORTFOLIO:

4.      Portfolio Photograph Specifications

a.       Images should be sized to 900 pixels on the image’s longest side (on the longest dimension), 72 ppi, and saved as a jpeg.

b.      You must use imaging software to create and safe your images on your desktop before you upload to the PWP website.

c.       Please see your software’s user manual to learn how to modify your image’s size and resolution.

5.      I am having trouble moving, deleting, sequencing, or replacing my images in my Member Portfolio

a.       You must click save changes after performing a move, delete, re-sequence, or replace of any of your images in your portfolio

b.      After you hit “Save Changes” the screen will look like it is changing, then you must “Refresh” your browser.

c.       You will be able to see your changes

JOINING/RENEWING/SPONSORING PWP:

6.      I am having problems while trying to Joining PWP

a.       You must do 2 things

1.      Fill in the PWP Application

2.      Follow the link to PayPal to “check-out”(provided after the application is filled out) and complete your payment to PWP

7.      I am having trouble with PayPal when I joining or renew?

a.       Contact Membership at membership[at]pwponline.org with a description of your exact problem. Please be very detailed, it will quicken the process.

8.      I would like to advertise on the Professional Women Photographers’ website

a.       Your suggestion is welcome at our website committee meetings. Please consider becoming an active member and volunteer to make the website better for everyone.

b.      In making suggestion please also consider that each modification to the website costs the organization money. So please be understanding if the suggestion is not acted upon.

16. None of these things answer my question and I give up

a. 9 out of 10 problems users have on the website is due to human error or computer error on the user’s part, which in the end means we cannot trouble shoot the problem. We ask that you try and try again before contacting tech support.

b. If you still cannot get things to work please be aware that it will take up to a month (sometimes more) to respond to your email. When emailing tech support you must include the following information:

•        Computer Platform (PC or Mac)

•        Name of Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, etc)

•        Version of Web Browser (4, 6, 8)

•        And include detailed accounts of webpages and entries that were causing you trouble.

•        Screen Captures

No email to tech support will be considered complete unless the above information is provided, and your issue may not be resolved due to incompleteness.
