A black and white, digital street photographer, I walk the streets of Brooklyn to witness and document the changing faces, neighborhoods and landscapes of my often exquisite, sometimes hideous city. I examine the contradictions of the old and the new, of the magnificent and the mundane, of isolation and community, that permeate city life. On the piers and in the streets, parks and ethnic enclaves I look for the fleeting moment when light, shadow, culture and gesture converge to reveal richly layered truth.
