Jessica Johnston is the Executive Director of Visual Studies Workshop (VSW) in Rochester, NY. VSW provides time, space and resources for artists, researchers and the community to create and connect.

VSW has been serving our community since 1969 through residencies, publications, education, public programs and archival collections. Prior to moving into the ED role at VSW in 2022, Jessica was the curator of collections there for 7 years.

Before joining VSW Jessica was assistant curator of photographs at George Eastman Museum. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management from Toronto Metropolitan University (2006).
