Please join the PWP Book Club in May!
Important Note: At our April 10th meeting, our Book Club participants will decide whether to read another chapter of Believing is Seeing for the May meeting or The Pleasures of Good Photographs by Gerry Badger. If they choose to continue with Believing is Seeing then this book will be discussed at a future meeting.
The Pleasures of Good Photographs
by Gerry Badger
With deep discernment and a readable blend of scholarly finesse and wit, Badger elucidates works by dozens of photographers, from Dorothea Lange and Eugène Atget to Martin Parr, Luc Delahaye, Susan Lipper and Paul Graham. Among the broader topics discussed are the photobook and Photoshop's role in art-making. Badger’s previous books include The Photobook: A History, Volumes I and II, coauthored with Martin Parr. Recommendedby Yola Manakhov Stockton (artist and instructor at ICP).
The PWP Book Club will meet at the Metropolitan Opera Guild on March 6th, April 10th, and May 1st at 5 pm (just prior to our monthly meetings). Click here for detailed map of meeting location.
