Gina Vasquez is a conceptual self-portrait photographer based in New York City. She originally found photography as a means of self-expression, and that continues to find its way into her work, becoming the basis for many concepts.
Her style is dreamlike and surreal, often portraying imaginative narratives and bold uses of color and shadow. Through her work, she aims to create introspective images that resonate with the viewer.
Vasquez has collaborated with organizations such as 500px and UN Women, and her photographs have received awards from PDN and Microsoft. She graduated with an AAS in Photography and a BS in Art History and Museum Professions from the Fashion Institute of Technology, and is currently completing an MA in Art History at Hunter College.
